It is certainly a good thing that Syria has gun control isn’t. It would be a crying shame if any of the Bashar al-Assad soldiers were injured by the OPRESSED citizens who are fighting for their liberty with broom sticks while the Bashar al-Assad soldiers are exterminating the Rebels with automatic gun fire. Yes it would be a shame.
You see now in living color and BLOOD what could happen if we lost our 2nd amendment rights to bear arms. I not saying that our Government would order our own troops to shoot us down, because I do not believe that would happen. What I am saying is if we did lose our rights to bear arms, then the only ones to have weapons are the criminal element. It would then be open season on the unarmed. That’s exactly how I see it. Maybe I am wrong. That said, the Christians have a totally different take on matters. They (Christians) are all for the Assad Regime, as a matter of fact the Christians within Syria are content to see their fellow citizens gunned down in the street.
(DAMASCUS, Syria) As the announcement was made Saturday evening that Russia and China had vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution condemning the actions of the Syrian regime, some Christians inside the country celebrated.
"Syrian Jet Fighter Training"
“Look what has happened in Iraq and now in Egypt,” said the woman. “Assad in power means that won’t happen here.”
As you can read, the Christian sects in Syria feel protected by the Assad regime and they want the uprising to fail. How would the Christian sect feel if the shoe were on the other foot….they may come to find out rather sooner than later. What I do not understand from these so called Christians is how can they as CHRISTIAN condone the death of their fellow Countryman, I am at a loss for words.
In my opinion Syrian Christian should be hand and hand with the Rebels, who are being massacred as everyone just stands by and allows this to happen. Russia and China also, they so far have condoned the killings and have vetoed efforts by the United Nations to apply sanctions. To me I just can not make any sense out this senseless death and violence. I guess I am not seeing the whole picture.
Thousands of Christians are tied up in the regime’s security apparatus and are employed in high-ranking government and military positions. Aware that some day the masses might rise up against the regime, Syria’s previous president, Hafez al-Assad, sought to consolidate power among the minorities, people he knew would unite when tested.
