Sickness in New York



In my 26 year career in Law Enforcement I have seen and worked on several murders.  I have seen some fairly nasty crime scenes, but none as gruesome as this. It is just beyond my shallow mind to try and comprehend why someone would murder and mutilate this young 8 year old child. An innocent child, the love of his parents life has been reduced to nothing more than 8 years of memories in a matter of seconds.

It makes me ill. I have two young grandsons.  I do not have the words nor the ability to even comprehend how I might feel or what I might do, so I will leave it for imagination. I have delivered death notifications before, but how do you tell the parents your child is dead, and the love of your life has been basically slaughter like an animal, and tossed in a dumpster and in a freezer, someone please tell me how to do that. 

What I can tell you is this, the death penalty rids society of animals like this, is it a deterrent yes to some; but let me tell you how to really make the death penalty a deterrent. Lets use the death of the young boy as an example. once the trail is over and Aron is convicted and of course his appeals run its course.

You take this piece of garbage to the middle of the town square, and you do to him, EXACTLY what he did to this young boy. I would imagine that might be a very good deterrent, it will make a difference, that is just a passing thought of course.  However that would make it cruel and unusual punishment right. That is what all the bleeding heart liberals would think. What this animal did to this victim was barbaric, and he deserves the same punisment. 

                                                                                                                             

BROOKLYN (ABC) -  Authorities say 8-year-old Leibby Kletzky was a victim of a random act of violence, murdered and dismembered after he apparently got lost and asked for help.

Levi Aron, 35, was arrested early Wednesday, NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

Investigators took Aron into custody at 2:40 a.m. at his residence on East 2nd Street in the Kesington section of Brooklyn.  A New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Missing Child Alert had been issued for 8-year-old Leibby Kletzky. Kletzky left the Boyan Day Camp at 1205 44th Street Monday evening, but never showed up to meet his mother three blocks away in Borough Park.

Kelly said the boy's parents had taken him through the route the day before, and he was to walk the seven blocks from the camp to meet his mother. He left at about 5:05 p.m., got lost and asked the wrong man for help. Leibby Kletzky
8 Years Old

NYPD’s Police Commissioner just finished making a statement and answering questions in a news conference. He said Shomrim was very helpful in the investigation but the large numbers of search teams, posters, etc., scared Aron and that’s why he killed Kletzky.  Here are highlights from the conference:


• Shomrim got the license plate number and reported it to police, which helped in apprehending Aron.
• Police think Leibby was lost and Aron said he would drive him home.
• Aron panicked when he saw all the posters and the search teams and that’s why he killed Leibby.
• Aron lived in Tennessee for two years, and police do not know if he has a police record there.
• One of the journalists (sounded Jewish with a Yiddish accent) said people had called 911 on Aron in the past but police did not properly handle those complaints.

What makes this so bizarre is Leibby had received permission to walk home alone for the first time. However, like good parents, the parents restricted Leibby to walk alone for only three blocks, at which point his parents would be at a designated point to greet him. In those few short blocks, tragedy stuck at the hands of killer Levi Aron, 35 years of age, who intercepted young Leibby.

All I can say again this is one sick SOB. I just hope and pray that the Investigators do a complete investigation. The good thing about this case is,  the remains were located quick, sufficient probable cause was present and an arrest was made. At least the investigators appear to have solid evidence, witnesses and a video showing Levi Aron with the victim. Slam dunk, no case is slam dunk,  slam dunk sometimes will rear up and bite the investigators on the butt.  

At a news conference Wednesday, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said detectives found the remains of Keletzky in a freezer at Aron's third-floor attic apartment and in a trash bin more than two miles away, wrapped in a black plastic garbage bag inside a suitcase. Full Story and Video:

What else could Leibby's parents do, the neighbor is relatively quiet and safe.  I am sure that the  parents had very little concerns of allowing Leibby to walk the few blocks, as they were going to be their waiting for him just a few blocks away. The parents patiently waited until they had that sinking feeling that something had gone wrong. desperately wrong. There are no answers to this as to why this horrible incident took place, only that a sick deranged bastard just happened along and intercepted the young Leibby.

As parents we are charged with the safety well being of our kids, keep drilling into their little heads that yes, the boogie man is real. You may or may not know who the boogie man is,  but he is real, very real. So stay alert.
