Feds say Arpaio violated civil rights

Feds say Arpaio violated civil rights
PHOENIX (AP) – The federal government issued a scathing report Thursday that outlines how Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s office has committed a wide range of civil rights violations against Latinos, including a pattern of racial profiling and discrimination and carrying out heavy-handed immigration patrols based on racially charged citizen complaints.
The report, obtained by The Associated Press ahead of its release, is a result of the U.S. Justice Department’s three-year investigation of Arpaio’s office amid complaints of racial profiling and a culture of bias at the agency’s top level.

The Justice Department’s conclusions in the civil probe mark the federal government’s harshest rebuke of a national political fixture who has risen to prominence for his immigration crackdowns and became coveted endorsement among candidates in the GOP presidential field.
Apart from the civil rights probe, a federal grand jury also has been investigating Arpaio’s office on criminal abuse-of-power allegations since at least December 2009 and is specifically examining the investigative work of the sheriff’s anti-public corruption squad.

PhotobucketSheriff Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is a man that I have great respect for. He is a man of integrity and he is doing the job that the slugs in the Federal government won’t do. He is enforcing the LAW!
If I were in a position to go back to work I believe I would be moving to Maricopa County so I could work with Sheriff Joe, I think our styles would compliment each other well.

I hate to accuse the person touting the DoJ report finding Arpaio and his Department to be a bunch of ‘Latino Haters’, but look at the guys name and decide for yourself if he is the best choice to be making decisions about racial bias.
“Arpaio’s own actions have helped nurture MCSO’s culture of bias,” wrote Thomas Perez, who heads the Justice Department’s civil rights division, adding that the sheriff frequently gave such racially charged letters to some of his top aides and saved them in his own files.
Thomas Perez? Perez is, quite obviously, a Hispanic or Latino name. I’m not calling Perez a racist, but it has been my experience that those who throw The Race Card are usually the biggest racists in the crowd.

And for what it’s worth, wouldn’t the Dept. of Justice be better served to sweep their own filthy door step before they go sweeping others?

Operation Gun Runner? Fast and Furious? Accusations of the DEA and FBI being directly involved in these operations? The Justice Dept. involving themselves is States Rights and Tenth Amendment issues? ie: Taking states to task for actually enforcing U.S. immigration laws and for involving themselves in issues of State Voter ID cards.

You would think that with all the corruption withing the Obama regime and in the DoJ itself, Eric Holder and his minions would have a plate full of business without having to go after a real American Patriot and courageous Law Man like Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
And in a related area of the news;
Federal Probe Finds Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Office Violated Rights of Latinos

First, did you know there was a FOX News Latino?
Secondly, again I have to say, is it really a fair shake for Sheriff Arpaio when all of those that are critical of him, and getting their names in the news, appear to be Latinos?
I have said it before and I will say it again; if these people don’t want to be hassled, get a drivers license, get a Social Security Card, get a Green Card, SPEAK ENGLISH, get a job and become a legal immigrant and then an American citizen.

That’s ALL it takes. People like Joe Arpaio have a lot of other things to do other than the work our government it to politically correct to do.
And I have to point this out, don’t break the law. I know, it’s such a simple thing, but if you don’t break the law, if you don’t present yourself as a suspect, you have nothing to worry about.
