Rick and the Rangers |
As America is drowning in her debt, with what looks like no way out enters Rick Perry, the Governor from Texas. The motto of One Riot One Ranger, well that motto just might fit Governor Perry, sorta of speaking. Perry will bring to the table, the proven experience of job creation, 40% of all jobs created in the United States, were created in....TEXAS, what happened to the rest of the United States I ask. Governor Perry has the know how, on job creation.
"America is not broken, Washington, D.C., is broken," Perry said. Perry enters the race as a serious contender for the nomination, one with the potential to combine establishment support (and the strong fundraising that comes with it) with the backing of social and fiscal conservatives.
Stylistically reminiscent of his predecessor as Texas governor who won the presidency - George W. Bush - Perry's calling card is Texas' strong record of job creation: 40 percent of the nation's new jobs since June 2009 are in Texas. The state's unemployment rate is about one-point below the national rate of 9.1-percent, and 25 states' are lower.

"One in six work-eligible Americans cannot find a full-time job -- that is not a recovery, that is an economic disaster," Perry said.
While Perry spent some of his speech discussing his own record, he spent most of his time attacking the current White House occupant. He criticized Mr. Obama's "unbridled fixation" on spending and suggested the president's "big spending, big government policies" have "prolonged our national misery, not alleviated it."
"Recovery is a meaningless word if the bank has foreclosed on your home, if you're underwater on your mortgage, or if you are up to the max on your credit card debt," he added. "Mister President, let us tell you something: You cannot win the future buy selling America off to foreign creditors. We cannot afford four more years of this rudderless leadership". He called the $14 trillion federal government debt "generational theft" and attacked the president's handling of the debate over raising the nation's debt ceiling, during which time Standard and Poor's lowered the United States' credit rating to AA+ from AAA.
Perry said, "The fact is for nearly three years", President Obama has been downgrading American jobs, he's been downgrading our standing in the world, he's been downgrading our financial stability, he's been downgrading our confidence, and downgrading the hope for a better future for our children."

The U.S. Congress sets a federal budget every year in the trillions of dollars. Few people know how much money that is so federal spending needs to be broken into simple terms to be understood.
Let’s put the 2011 federal budget into perspective:
U.S.income: $2,170,000,000,000
Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000
New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent budget cut: $ 38,500,000,000 (about 1 percent of the budget)

New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent budget cut: $ 38,500,000,000 (about 1 percent of the budget)
It helps to think about these numbers in terms that we can relate to. Therefore, let’s remove eight zeros from these numbers and pretend this is the household budget for the fictitious Jones family.
Total annual income for the Jones family: $21,700
Amount of money the Jones family spent: $38,200
Amount of new debt added to their high-interest credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710

Amount of new debt added to their high-interest credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
Because the Jones’ realized they’re in trouble, they decided to become responsible and cut their spending. After a lot of posturing and wrangling, they agreed to cut a whopping $385 from their budget.
How Long would you last as CEO of any major company had you failed to turn in a budget for the company you represent..once the board members found out, you would be DISPATCHED fairly quickly. in other words, they would throw you out on your read-end. That is what has happened, our CEO Hussein Obama has failed to turn in a budget for the entire time he has been your president.
“The Senate has a legal obligation to pass a budget every year but has not done so for more than two years,” said Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots.

“Democrats have controlled the Senate and the White House since the election of 2008, and the House of Representatives up until this year. Certainly they could have passed any budget they desired, including one with tax increases and spending increases. But they chose to ignore the 800-day gorilla in the room because they don't want to be on record supporting a budget that actually does what they want. Then the public could hold them accountable for their cowardly and irresponsible behavior in the face of national fiscal calamity.”
“This week marks the 800 Days of Infamy—800 days without passing a budget,” said Mark Meckler, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots. “This Senate, controlled by Democrats, will go down as one of the most irresponsible, do-nothing Senates in the history of the institution. May history judge them as harshly as they deserve, and may the electorate throw many of them out on their collective hind ends in 2012.”
If this is the kind of person you want to CONTINUE to lead our country, then elect him for another 4 years of misery. Let him finish the job he has started and has yet to finish, what he has not finished is SOCIALISM.
Eight hundred days of political cowardice, reckless irresponsibility, and dereliction of duty. Enjoy your milestone, Democrats. May the American people remember it well in 2012. That is all I have to say for right now...it is now or never my friends..
