Eric Holder to Testify on Fast and Furious

Eric Holder to testify on 'Fast and Furious'

Eric Holder, when will he finally fess up to the truth, his house of cards will fall down around his head at some point. Will he be prosecuted if proven he lied and covered up? Highly doubtful, his daddy Obama will give him a pass, I just hope that Holder is exposed to be the liar that we know he is.  What would be the highlight if it is exposed and that the anointed one also knew and assisted in the cover up. Which is very doubtful, maybe this just might be Obama's Watergate.   Eric Holder is to be grilled by house Republican Darrell Issa Thursday over Mexican-border gun-running.  In my way of thinking, there is just no way that Holder could not have known.

Washington (CNN) -- Attorney General Eric Holder will face off with House Republican Darrell Issa Thursday over Mexican-border gun-running, a showdown that comes after Issa and the Justice Department exchanged sharp letters in recent days.
Holder is scheduled to appear before Issa's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Thursday to discuss the controversial sting operation called "Operation Fast and Furious."
The operation, designed to monitor the flow of weapons, allowed illegally purchased firearms to be taken from U.S. gun stores across the Mexican border to drug cartels. However, hundreds of weapons were lost or unaccounted for, and a storm of outrage erupted when two of the missing weapons were found at a site where Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed in December 2010.
Democrats and Republicans have since been at odds over who knew what about the operation and when.  Read complete article

The structure of the chain of command would seem to indicate that with a gun walking operation to a foreign is not an operation which a residence agent in charge could authorize. For that matter even a director of the BATF would have to obtain an approval from the head of DOJ. Reason being you are talking about an operation involving another country.

We are talking about allowing WEAPONS into another country. No one, I mean no one could authorize that type of operation without the highest of top level clearance. As luck would have it, two of the "fast and furious" weapons showed up at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Peck Canyon.
What makes Fast & Furious so offensive, is the blatant disregard for the rule of law in this operation. The the lower tiered ATF field agent is not to blame in my opinion. It is the High ranking officials in Justice that had the pulse of this operation should have plugged the plug before this fast and furious animal took shape.

I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of Eric Holder, the Attorney General, who I believe knew exactly what was going on from the onset of this operation.  I also firmly believe that Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano also new of operation Fast and Furious.  Brian Terry's family are the ones who had the pay the ultimate price for the misguided efforts of Eric Holder and fast and furious.
It’s about disregard for the rule of law, the arrogance and the willful suspension of disbelief by a pack of federal officials on a scale that’s scarcely imaginable. The doc dump contained one particularly damning email written by now former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke to Assistant Attorney General Ron Weich and other high-level DOJ officials. Burke was responding to Senator Grassley’s investigation into the ATF’s gun running op.

"What is so offensive about this whole project is that Grassley’s staff, acting as willing stooges for the Gun Lobby, have attempted to distract from the incredible success in dismantling [southwest border] gun trafficking operations….by not uttering one word of rightful praise and thanks to ATF — but instead lobbing this reckless despicable accusation that ATF is complicit in the murder of a fellow federal law enforcement officer . . . No commentary by Grassley on the lax laws, nor greedy gun shop owners, nor careless straw purchasers, and not boo about the evil gun traffickers for the Cartels. Just demonize ATF w/a strategically-timed repulsive letter emailed to the entire press world before we ever saw it." source

The sad outcome, once all the dust settles and the TRUTH is learned are the well intentioned future operations will be so much more difficult to get approved have a legitimate "walk" operation approved by anyone, for fear of something going wrong.

I have just heard the most recent exchange between Darrell Issa and Holder offers absolutely nothing new. It is the same old Potomac Two Step, he is stonewalling and in my opinion is not truthful one bit, chances are we may never know the truth of fast and furious and that will be bad. I hope that at some point the truth will be known and the family of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry can finally put this behind them, they deserve nothing less.
