Holidays

Well it just seems like I just blinked my eyes and here we are starting off 2011. On a personal note, boy am I glad that 2010 is done and in the books. I have had better years. However, there was a very good event that happened on November 22 2010, my wife and I were blessed with the birth of our second grandson, Hudson Ryan Parker. We could not have asked for a better Christmas gift.

As you noticed I was gone for a couple of weeks. We left town and visited my son and his wife and met our new grandson. We just had a wonderful time. However wwr are back now, and I will get back to my blog.

I am going to be taking up some outside cooking and will be building a good ole Texas smoke house. When I lived in Kingsville, Texas we made and stuffed our own link sausage and beef and venison jerky, once made I added some good mesquite smoke, um it's so good.

Once I get it all up and going I will keep you posted. I would lime to send out some samples and get y'all's thought.
Anyway see you in a day or so.

Sounds wonderful Shady ... but there may be a few problems sending a sample to the Land of Oz!
Congratulations on the safe arrival of your gorgeous little grandson Hudson, he looks so adorable lying there on the couch.
I didn't have the best year in 2010 either so I'm pleased to have a fresh start in 2011. I wish all the very best of wishes for a happier, healthier & more pleasing year this year Shady. Happy New Year!
