Government Shut Down - Yes, No, May So

12 Hours and Counting!!

To the President of United States, Congress,  Republicans, Democrats and the Tea Party. Listen to me, one and all. Each and everyone of you have been honored by the citizens of the United States and elected  to a position of responsibility to oversee the governing of our country, to ensure that we are a country of laws and to maintain oversight on our taxes that each of us pay so that we may all live in a country which is envied by others, a free and democratic nation. Also to ensure that our tax dollar is wisely spent and not abused. A portion of our taxes are designated to pay the salary of our military and federal law enforcement. Our country is protected by the best military in the world and and our country's borders are protected and guarded by the best law enforcement officers in the world.  To consider not paying these individuals because of a shutdown is deplorable and beyond reason.  As an American citizen I am ashamed of each and everyone of you by the actions that I have witnessed over the past few months. How dare you put the families of anyone who protects our land in jeopardy by shutting down our government and by withholding wages is a disgrace to say the least.  If this shutdown happens, and I pray it does not, each of you should resign your office for you will have disgraced the very oath that you took when you were sworn in to office. The President and Congress will get paid regardless of a shutdown as you are classified as essential

 personnel.  I beg to differ, your inability to agree on a budget proves you are non-essential, your behavior is that of a 3 year old child.   Some of you, have been handed a life of luxury and means, some you have lived a privileged life lacking for nothing, unlike most of our military and other federal employees and citizens. Still you argue daily taking one step forward and two steps back, it is like rowing a boat with one oar in the water. Some of you have also abused the very office to which you were elected.  It's amazing how a group of supposedly educated people can do nothing more but to agree to disagree. You are about to affect thousand of people, however it will not affect you, as you are considered essential personnel.  I will be curious to know how many of you will take your fat paycheck which will be deposited on time in your accounts, while employees get nothing.  I have no illusions about the complacency of people.  However it is high time that we FIX Congress. Enough is enough get your act together, or leave.

I hate to sound so harsh, but I along with millions of Americans are sick and tired of the position that this Nation has been placed. We are not, and never have been a second rate Country, but we are headed in that direction, sooner than later....It is up to us, the American people to make the necessary changes until we find the right people for the job. people who take the job as an honor and not a means to get FAT on.
